Alessia Cocca was born in Benevento (Italy) in 1982. 

"She uses all the photo possibilities to explore big and small issues of our inner world". Symbols, records, dreams are strongly present in Cocca's photo and artistic research.

 

She studied at the Academy of Fine Art in Naples, Italy. There she attended to several courses in photography. The study of Conservation of ancient and modern art has been for Alessia a big source of inspiration.

She attended to several internships [Post Production - Digital Photography - Direction of Photography].

 

Her pictures have been showed in many international galleries. She has had solo shows in Germany [at Italian Cultur Institute - Berlin], in England [at MilkandLead Gallery - London], in Italy.

She collaborate as freelance photojournalist for Reuters and several magazines.

She published her pictures on The Globe and Mail, Taz, JungeWelt, die Presse, El correo. Le Figaro, Sputnik.

She currently works as freelance photographer  in Berlin.
